Artist: Kathleen "Kat" Gasparin

​

Kathleen was born in Massachusetts where she attended the Art Institute of Boston. She moved to Washington DC to pursue a career in Graphic Arts. After years working in DC as a Graphic Designer, Publications Manager and Art Director for multiple firms including Greenpeace USA and Washington Performing Arts Society for The Kennedy Center. She also Freelanced for NASA, National Geographic, Washington Journalism Review and other companies. 

 

Kathleen and her husband eventually moved to Annapolis to enjoy life by the water. She is an avid sailor and worked for over a decade for Sunsail and Voyage Charters in the Sailing Vacation Industry. Her position in sales, allowed her to combine her love for boating and travel through islands in the Caribbean. She also was able to obtain her ASA Sailing Certification on monohulls and large catamarans. 

 

Watercolor painting is another passion she enjoys. A love of travel, sailing and life by the water are visible in her painting subjects and images. Her work has been sold in multiple galleries, included in group shows and solo exhibits in Annapolis, Tortola, and on Cape Cod.
